Senior Computer Vision Researcher (PART TIME / REMOTE ADVISOR)

In this role, you will lead the design, rapid prototyping, and development of novel computer vision methods in constrained, real world environments. Responsibilities 

Design Deep Learning-based Vision Systems for tasks like Pose Estimation, Object Detection, Segmentation, and deploying these systems in a constrained computational environment

Translate research papers and other ideas into efficient code 

Design algorithms based on mathematical anomalies that deviate from Human Pose Estimation reference data and directs junior staff on implementation of design

Qualifications

Expertise with Human Pose Estimation, in particular, experience deploying  realworld systems that can accurately identify relative position of key points 3D-space within a constrained computational environment

Ph.D. in EE, CS or  M.Tech.(Strong experience in C++  and Python) or  equivalent professional experience

Strong mathematical background (3D geometry, linear algebra, algorithms) 

Experience with Tensorflow and in domains of Perception, Object Detection, and Segmentation

Strong experience in C++ (~+2 years) and Python (~2+ years)

Prefered 5+ years of experience in developing commercial-grade Computer Vision applications 

Bonus for experience with distributed training, CUDA, and optimization of Machine Learning on edge and mobile.

Work environment  

Remains accountable in a remote team and work independently

Active participant in daily stand-ups, regular work planning meetings, and check-ins

Communicates with team members and is available online during working hours when needed 

Code quality

Writes code that is objective, scalable, maintainable, and written with a team in consideration.

Uses and fluent in version control; Git and experience with "Git Flow" workflows +

Tests code to ensure quality

Writes documentation, uses semantic versioning, and creates releases
